Where You Should Donate this Holiday Season

December 21, 2020

While the cozy atmosphere, delicious treats, and festive lights of the holiday season invoke a sense of joy and celebration, this is also a time of the year to think about those who are less fortunate than we are. This December, consider extending your generosity beyond your family and friends and donate to one of the many impactful charities in the greater Nashville area. Here are a couple of suggestions:

Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee

While you make preparations for your grand Christmas dinner, ensure food insecure neighbors—one out of every six Middle Tennessee residents! —can put a meal on their table as well. The Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, which has provided meals in 46 counties over the last four decades, is tripling gifts received up to $100,000, thanks to a group of generous supporters. Join Ole South in making a donation today; every $1 you give provides 12 meals for children, seniors and families.

Habitat of Greater Nashville

Habitat for Humanity’s mission, which involves building high-quality and affordable homes for those who need them, is near and dear to Ole South’s heart. Since 1985, Habitat of Greater Nashville has created over 1,300 homes for over 3,000 families, including over 2,000 children. The organization prides itself in its award-winning green building practices and neighborhood revitalization efforts. Sponsor a build today and help put a roof over your neighbors’ heads!

"We are empty nesters who decided to downsize, and we chose Ole South because the value and amenities for the price are unmatched in our current market. We love the location, the warm and friendly spirit of the neighborhood, and everyone at Ole South went above and beyond during the entire process to be sure our expectations were met and that we were truly happy with the outcome."
