Welcoming the Dahl Family Home

In September 2026, Ole South Homes joined Freedom Alliance and U.S. Bank to present U.S. Army Specialist Mathew Dahl and his family with the keys to a new mortgage-free home in Pleasant View, Tennessee.

Specialist Dahl was seriously wounded by an improvised explosive device while serving in Afghanistan in 2011. He returned to his unit following his injuries, completed his deployment, and earned the Purple Heart and Combat Action Badge.

The home presentation marked a new chapter for Dahl, his wife, Justyna, and their three children, giving the family a place to settle in Middle Tennessee as he continues his rehabilitation.

Supporting the Communities We Call Home

Ole South's community involvement reaches across Middle Tennessee through longstanding partnerships, charitable giving, and support for organizations focused on housing, education, veterans, children, families, and community services.

Veterans and Military Families

Ole South has worked alongside Freedom Alliance and U.S. Bank to help provide mortgage-free homes for wounded veterans and their families. In addition to the Dahl family's 2026 home, Ole South helped build the Shelbyville home presented to U.S. Army Sgt. Xanthin Luptak and his family in 2023.

Investing in Education

Ole South maintains a longstanding relationship with Middle Tennessee State University. The company serves as the Official Home Builder of MTSU and has supported programs and opportunities spanning construction management, student success, internships, and athletics. Ole South founder John Floyd has also supported major university initiatives, including the Center for Student Coaching and Success and MTSU Athletics' Build Blue campaign.

Supporting Middle Tennessee Nonprofits

Ole South has supported organizations serving families, children, and neighbors throughout Middle Tennessee, including Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity, Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County, Special Kids, the American Red Cross, Second Harvest Food Bank, and other local nonprofits. These relationships have included financial support, volunteer involvement, and long-term partnerships tied to needs within the communities where Ole South lives and builds.

Ole South's relationship with Middle Tennessee State University spans academics, student opportunities, and athletics, including support for the university's Build Blue campaign and continued investment in Blue Raider programs.

A Legacy of Giving

Following a record year for Ole South in 2020, the company committed more than $1 million to nonprofit organizations providing essential programs and services throughout Middle Tennessee.

Organizations supported and featured through the initiative included Rutherford County Area Habitat for Humanity, Discovery Center, Boys & Girls Clubs of Rutherford County, Special Kids, Amelia's Closet and Liberty's Station, the American Red Cross, Second Harvest Food Bank, Operation Stand Down, Nashville General Hospital, and other community organizations.

The initiative remains an important chapter in Ole South's history of giving and helped deepen relationships with organizations serving Middle Tennessee families and communities.
