The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to make a fresh start when it comes to your home. While holiday shopping might mean that new decor is out of the question, decluttering and organizing your home is a great way to get a fresh, new feel at little to no cost. Here are 3 home mess havens where you can reduce clutter to make a huge impact in your home.   
 

1. Ditch the paperwork 

Did you know 8 in 10 pieces of mail are never looked at, once in the home? With bits of mail delivered every day, it can be easy to find your home buried under paperwork. One of the easiest and fastest ways to get rid of extra clutter is by sorting through newspapers, magazines, mail, and paperwork piles — attending to the important items and discarding the rest.

1. Tackle the closets 

Closets can be a massive “out of sight, out of mind” clutter collection point. In fact, in the U.S. people tend to wear only 20% of their clothing 80% of the time.
