Local Donation Drop Off’s

November 15, 2022

It’s the season of giving! What better time to get rid of items within your home that you’re no longer using? If you’re looking to do a “Marie Kondo” purge and get rid of the things that no longer spark any joy within you, we have constructed a list of philanthropy-based organizations that happily accept donations and work within our communities to serve individuals that need some extra support.

Habitat for Humanity

This nonprofit has been serving Nashville for nearly three decades. While the main goal of this organization is to build homes for qualifying families, they also have a ReStore operation where they accept gently used household items. They even offer free pickup for larger items! For more information about what this association accepts visit www.habitatnashville.org/restore_donate

American Veteran Drop Box

The American Veteran organization (AMVETS) was created to strengthen the condition of life for all veterans, survivors, and their respective families. This institution has multiple drop-off locations scattered throughout Metro Nashville. For more information on this organization, visit amvets.org.

Nashville Rescue Mission

This faith-based organization serves the less fortunate population of greater Nashville and prides itself on giving the hopeless some hope. This establishment gladly accepts food, clothing, toiletries, and equipment. For more information about the work of this institution, visit https://nashvillerescuemission.org/.

Safe Haven Family Shelter

Serving Middle Tennessee for 37 years, this organization is known for educating and serving families that battle chronic homelessness. This institution works to educate individuals on continuous self-sufficiency, stable employment, and housing. For donations, they sincerely appreciate household items such as cleaning products, kitchen items, bathroom items, and linens. Whether you’re looking to donate furniture, clothing, bathroom or kitchen products, or even capital there is a place in Music City that would deeply appreciate your generosity!
