Our Founder and Owner, John Floyd, has devoted the entirety of his career to matching Tennessee residents with the highest-quality homes. Floyd started working in Real Estate at 23 years old, where he learned that providing an excellent home is not just a sound business strategy, but also a means to make the world a better place. He’s held true to that vision today; Ole South is dedicated to the communities where we build. With the creation of the John Floyd Charitable Foundation, we have donated over $1 million in financial, material, and labor support to various organizations throughout Middle Tennessee. 

Floyd and Ole South have won nearly 50 awards for home building excellence! In 2008, Floyd was recognized in the Nashville Business Journal’s Impact Awards and was named Home Builder of the Year. A few months prior, Floyd was also named Tennessee Home Builder of the Year by the Home Builders Association of Tennessee. Ole South was recognized by Tennessee Housing & Development Agency as the “Builder of the Year” for six consecutive years, and is ranked #1 of the list of the Top Residential builders by the Nashville Business Journal.
